About us...
The Maine Basketball Academy was founded in 2010 by Wayne Stewart with a vision & purpose to provide student athletes throughout Southern Maine an opportunity to develop skills which help them achieve their goals and aspirations. Coach Stewart has coached girls travel teams in Southern Maine for over 15 years and focuses on both individual and team instruction philosophies. Maine Basketball Academy teams have enjoyed success over the years playing in regional events, winning state amateur titles in Maine (2012, 2013, 2016), Zero Gravity New England Regional Champions (2013), and Zero Gravity National Finals in (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016). The club promotes good sportsmanship and competitive play for all players.
